Many movie-goers have been emailing me to find out about the mysterious trailer being played in front of "Transformers." When I went to see the movie, as soon as the trailer came on, half the theater got their cell phones out to record it. Now, one ended up on the internet and you can check it out here.
While the film does not show a title, it is currently going under project name "Cloverfield." It is produced by J.J. Abrams, the man behind "Mission: Impossible III" and the upcoming "Star Trek" movie. Matt Reeves is set to direct the film, which as the trailer says, will hit theaters on January 18th.
In the trailer, we see a bunch of young people at a party in the city. After a loud noise, lots of shaking and complete darkness, we see a huge fireball, followed by the head of the statue of liberty coming crashing down.
