Title: Monthly Podcast
Post by: gri3v on August 24, 2011, 03:35:12 PM
Hey guys,

So for a little while now, I've been throwing around the idea of streaming a monthly podcast about gaming, PA LAN events, and get some good discussion / debate out there on hot gaming related (but probably not always) topics.  I also wanted to have a guest caster on the show each month from different gaming groups /  PA LAN organizations to spice it up a bit and also let them use the show to inform / plug their events too if they want to.

After talking with Czar, Shank, and Decepticon, they all shared the same kind of excitement and interest to get this thing rolling.  SO, this Friday at 9:30 PM EST, we are going to have the pilot episode of our Monthly LANcast / PA LANCast.  (We are still working on the name...feel free to throw out some suggestions...hopefully something less generic than what I came up with :P )

We all know it will take some time to generate some interest and buzz, as well as get a good flow going and all that good stuff that makes a podcast worth checking out, but if you can please feel free to tune in and let us know what you think.  We want to get as many gaming groups / communities / LAN Organizations involved as we can, so please give us your input, some suggestions for topics...anything really!

The cast will be streamed on www.livestream.com (http://www.livestream.com)

Our channel (for now as it might change later) is www.livestream.com/palancast (http://www.livestream.com/palancast)

So, hit up that URL at 9:30 PM EST this Friday and check it out if you can :)

I am always good for comentary, but unless the show is rated NC-17 the cast would probably just sound like a test signal due to all the stuff you would have to bleep out.

Hi All,

Just wanted to extend a "Thank You" to the casters and listeners for our pilot episode last night, it was fun :)

Also, one of our friends in D.C. happened to listen to the cast late last night then sent gri3v and I an email with, "a few (humble) comments that I thought I'd share to hopefully help out.  Take them as you will and know that I'm just trying to help."

Here are a few of his bullet points (with my replies in orange): <-- see what I did there?

I thought it was nice to get all this feedback already and figured I'd share with you guys.  Lemme know if you want his contact information and I'll PM you.  Game on amigos!

I also wanted to say thanks to everyone that caught our cast last night.  We got a lot of feedback and good suggestions and have taken them all into consideration.  I apologize for the sound level issues, but those should definitely be ironed out for our next cast.
