You guys know me... that was calm o.O
Heck I was even speaking during a web based presentation when I typed it.
I personally thought the endings were lame and way to similar, but that was not the most aggravating part. That just felt like laziness not A******ry.
Main irks with the game:
Show content
1.) To end the game there is no choice. Is that choke point the final sequence? No it is not, but that choke point exists none the less. Speaking of being a douche, aka renegade, if don’t go douche, you cant finish the game. That is is. You die. You get shot in the head for not being a douche and you fail the mission. That is not laziness, its just a slap to the face of anyone who played paragon and facepalm to the entire concept of a choice based game.
2.) The final sequence doesn’t give much explanation as to what left, right, and center equate to. The clearest is the red. Good luck if you are color blind or are trying to pick the paragon over renegade. Oh and dont forget the center option... spoiler its basically the same ending as left or right.
Seriously its like playing the medal of honor series and at the end of heroes 2, the only way you can finish the game is if you defect to the russians and you suddenly cut to modern day where some nogoodnick says let me tell you another story about our great hero and you wind up back to the point right before you have to go do the mission where you are forced to defect. What the heck is that? All you wanted to do was be the nice guy and go back and nail the crazy tattoo'd chick you met during the war. Now you are a long dead commie doomed to relive the moments just before you were forced to become that commie with your penultimate choice after three years being what color explosion do you want to die in...
The ending of this great series is the video game equivalent of blueballs.
