Had to reinstall vista and found it was out. Needed to install SP1 first and then this. Seems I'm getting fewer errors than before, but I can still replicate more than a few of the things I wanted to get rid of by reinstalling.

Overall, didn't take too long to install and system seems to be working fine afterwards.
