LAN Party Schedule Question.
« on: July 29, 2005, 11:07:21 AM »
I am just curious why it seems that almost every LAN ptary schedule that has CS on it; has CS in the middle of the freaking night (12am-3am-5am)??
I feel like we CS people are given it on the schedule just to please us.  Not that I mind playing Battle Field and UT, but CS would be a nice alternative.  I guess CS is not as big in LAN mode.

The reason we did that is because most CS players are the type that game through the night.  They are the diehards that wont mind if we start it that late.

yeah im not either but my friend is. Diehard CAL type person, he is this season i dont know y but he is. Such wasted youth down the drain, cal is a waste of time i think. People who do nothing but play are so friggin lame and they have no social life. Id love to play with you shadow whats the server u play on?

i believe we did not play because we had limited internet access, and some n00bs forgot to update before they came to the lan.  When we suggested playing an older version, the hardcore cs players said no cause their h4x did not work with it.  poor cs players

Please refer to this post for further information. I feel it necessary to remind every CS player the 3 rules for being socially acceptable at LAN parties. Thankyou and good day.

I am sad about that linked thread.... Because for a good part its true. But I ask you am I bad in person? I played BF with you all. I played UT for a little while. For the most part I think I did pretty well for my first time in the game.

I was just curious. When I started this thread I was just curious as to why it seemed we CSers were a lower cast. From your post I can see why.  The culture of this particular group is not really CS. I can understand that.

Also, I feel that I am fairly hardcore about CS. I mean I renter a server for a year so that my team has a place to call home durring CAL matches. Personaly I could give a flying squirell about CAL. I just like seeing some organized play that you don't get with Pubs.

Tomb: English baby yeah! Please reread your posts before you hit submit. I mean you have a prewview button too! Sometimes I just really don't want to fish for meanings in your posts. Also spelling helps me. I don't care about a word miss-spelled every once and while. It happens to me as well; but please PLEASE PLEASE  Spell words out!

That is all.

hehe no one said you were a bad person. and yeah you did do pretty good for your first time. People who play CS for long lengths of time generally are pretty good at adapting to other games. *shrug*

I really don't have any beef with playing CS on a lan with our grp. My main concern with the whole CS issue is the online community.  :shakeno:

Just wanted to make sure that I didn't get forced in thier with those... umm errr..... NOT NICE PEOPLE!!!
I do not post the servers I play on. If you want to know so badly check out xfire. It will show you if and where I am playing.
Currently I only play on servers with ACTIVE admins. And ones with a rule system regarding AWP and auto sniper rifles.  Now I don't care what side of the rifle issue you are on. I don't care what your opinion on it is! The reason I play there. "If you team is up by 5 or more rounds do not use the AWP or Auto(s)." I like this rule becaues the people who don't like the gun won't bitch and the people who do don't bitch. Most people seem to follow this rule. But if not we usually have active admin enforcing.

I just want to play and have a gewd time. I think I know the reason for the issues with CS having the most asshats. In game voice... I know this will become a problem with BF2. Remeber the less work one has to do the easier and more likely it will be for more people to do it.

I will stop babbling right now.....
