Good Morning everyone. Only about twelve hours until the LAN and it full steam ahead. The weather is here and we are not backing down. Speaking on behalf of FITES, we are looking forward to seeing everyone. Please take your time today getting to the event. The roads will be slick so please don't rush. We do want everyone to arrive safely and have a great time.

I've been here since Wed night (got a great rate at the Motel6), I live in the Atlantic City area.
I didn't know how the roads would be, and as you recall, they were really talking up the storm.
Then it didn't snow HERE until this morning really.
And of course, I left home without my keyboard and mousepad and had to go to Walmart.
I put out a contract on Murphy.

We hardly got any snow in Mechanicsburg (my house is ~5 mins from the venue). Mostly just a light dusting, but a Crapload of wind.
-
it looks we got an inch or 2 here in lancaster but the wind is blowing it all over the place
-
about the same here in mount wolf/york.
-
Well I shouldn't have any trouble getting to the event. I travel the same distance as Agent. And with all the sutff I am taking to the event my car will weight another ton. It was blwing like crazy last night as well.
-
CST/Pittco group of 5 will be coming from Pittsburgh. Sort of concerned about the weather, but we should be fine.
Pretty pumped to spend the weekend gamin.
-
Hellz yeah!
-
Yeah, down here in York we just got a dusting but I think the drifts made it much worse. The road my garage is attached to has 1-2 ft drifts every 10 ft or so. I will wait a tad and let a plow come through before I leave. It'll just give me time to pack.
Everyone, please please PLEASE! Drive very carefully. I am not worried about the snow as much as I am the wind. Especially those coming in SUV's or other high profile vehicles. See you there!
-
Hope no one is driving a Ford Bronco. lol
-
myself and markuS will be coming from Connecticut. just debating on taking 84 to 81 or take 95 to 78. traffic cams seem to show the roads are clear i'm just concerned about the black ice that may happen at altitude.
see ya when we see ya
-
man good luck. you are going to be driving through areas that got feet of snow the last few days & today
-
I am coming from Cleveland, someone decided it was a good idea to just poop snow all over this place, got about 3 inches so far, more coming? I am not leaving here till probably 4:30, 5, maybe i'll get there before the lan ends?
-
you wont have much of a problem. West PA got some snow but they can handle & clear it off the roads pretty faster than east PA can

That's a 5½ hour drive without snow, why are you waiting until then to leave?
Work?
-
gotta get paid my brotha, its only 5 hours, if i don't take the mountains

Whoa whoa whoa. You're saying not all of PA transportation system was created equally as Crapty? First time I've heard this.
-
I am pumped. Its going to be a fun time!

I personally wouldn't mind being snowed in with a good looking woman vs being snowed in with 200 nerds ;)

Oh, it's necessary

Since that will never happen in a million years you can almost understand why i would rather goto the LAN. just wish i was going to be there from start to finish
-
Man, if we die on our way to the lan, I'm going to be pissed.
-
I'm going to be pissed.
I somehow doubt that. You know, being dead and all. ;)

Here in Tyrone we got a couple inches but nothing big. I'm going come hell or high wate.......snow. My rav does pretty good in snow and amazing my wife is not using the weather as an excuse to keep me home but instead is more or less kicking me out the door....maybe I should remotely activate the webcam on her laptop and see what goes on when I'm not home lol.
Anyway me and Akilla will be there. My biggest problem is no one will be here to plow the cemetery roads should we get a dumping. It wouldn't be a big deal except my inlaws and cousins live on this road and they are older so I usually keep them plowed and shoveled out. I may have to call in a favor from a friend hehe.
-
Hey, schools in PA and NY know all about remotely activating webcams on their laptops. I'm sure they'd support you all the way!
