The Dark Knight Rises: Great Movie or Greatest movie?
« on: July 21, 2012, 09:18:52 AM »
TL;DR Great movie.

If the Dark Knight was a 11/10 this surely was a 10.5/10.  It had everything expected, and the ending (No spoilers here) was PERFECT.

Everyone was awesome, but by far the biggest performance was done by Michael Caine.  Alfred Finally gets his time to shine.  I really don't want to spoil anything so I will leave this as a brief as possible.

I agree. Go see this movie. Not sure if it was the audio in the theater I went to, but I found it a bit hard to make out what Bane was saying half the time. Still, epic movie is epic.

As much as I'm sure I'll like it, I seriously doubt any one part of it will be able compare to the awesome that was Thor offering a shoryuken to Hulk's chin... with a hammer.

I was at the IMAX theater in Lititz (so it's supposed to be superior audio) and I often couldn't understand Bane, so it's not just you. He had a weird Scottish-type accent (hard enough), plus the roboticizing (even harder) that his mask gives him that made it really hard to understand. I also couldn't understand the prison doctor half the time either, so maybe I just can't handle accents as good as I used to either.
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!

bane's voice was hard to understand, i also thought it was weird how the voice almost seemed to come out of all audio channels, not just from the front or side where he was positioned.  Batman sounded normal, but when Bane talked, it was coming out everywhere.

I also thought this movie was better paced than the last.  I really hated how Dark Knight had multiple "endings" but this avoided that and had a clear beginning middle and end.  Plenty of plot holes and they continued to make Batman seem kinda worthless with tons of bad decisions.
