Title: Interplay? MDK? BLAST FROM THE PAST!!!!!!!!!!
Post by: vincegun on June 21, 2011, 01:51:07 AM
Good Old Games (http://www.gog.com (http://www.gog.com/)) is running a promo right now featuring old games by Interplay. 50% off, so the resulting games are $2.99 each. Said games include Descent 1+2, Descent 3+Expansion, Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics, MDK, MDK 2, Earthworm Jim 1+2 and other awesome Interplay hits.

Personally about to buy the MDK set and possibly the Earthworm Jim set as I only have MDK 2 for my Dreamcast and... *cough* I don't even own it *cough*.

Just thought I'd let you all know!

I think I got MDK2 with a SoundBlaster card  back in the day. I never got around to playing it though; that card also came with Deus Ex....I did play that one, however, and enjoyed it immensely! And Thief or Thief II was in there as well. Man, those were the days. Buy a $60 piece of hardware and get three good games to go with it. Now you can barely buy a game by itself for $60 /sadface

But absolutely. Promoting a game meant packaging the FULL THING in with a piece of new hardware that people would actually want to upgrade to. MMMMMMMM..... tasty!

Those are definately some classics.  I got MDK a while ago from GOG as I loved that game growing up.  I didn't get into MDK2 as much though.

I am with ya there. I think the first MDK was better.
