I saw this video posted on some other forums as well, and people were not so impressed.  I don't know why they would not be...

part of this movie's thrill can only be felt by the gamers who have beaten the game itself.

The intro only affects you if you have played the game... the music starting out describing empty streets and lonliness while showing the beaten down faces of the men and women of the city, and later having the music kick into high gear as the effects of gordon are felt, and the citizens start fighting back is so much better if you have experienced this first hand.

Well said. That is the main appeal of the game. The characters (especially the ones that are mostly there for effect) are 'animated' enough to give them a depth that makes you empathize with them and in doing so, induce the desire to become the hero that will save them all - yea, even save mankind.

The intensity of the music, and the way the subject matter of the song ties in with the plot of the game, is uncanny. It says 'I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore!'

The only word that comes to mind is

WOW!

I played the thing at least 3 times before the numbness went away.  That is probably the best looking video game video I have ever seen. I love the G-Man lip synching.  Nice touch :)

Holy Crape!

That's machinima done right.
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!
