Does anybody have ideas to promote the 150 man lan and fill the event. We have been around 62 for a while. I realize it is still two months away, but we need to reach more than just the core gamers from the 100 man LAN.

My suugestion was to start advertising that the LAN is over 70 percent full.

I think we are going to be ok. You can pretty much rest assured that 20-30 will sign up the week prior to the event. We have to remember, that for a lot of youngsters... school is just finishing... they are concerned about what to do next week, not so much the end of august!

Beyond that, word of mouth is still the best form of advertising!

errrr..88 paid and 99 signed up and only 62 left. Sounds SO much better

What I think the best thing to do is find any forums you can for gaming centers, other lan parties, especially those close to the area and get active in them. By using a signature file or avatar with fites info in it, you slowly permeate our name out there.

You could try some misleading advertising. Say that strippers will be at the LAN and in actuality they'd be a few people just stripping paint. That'd fill the seats fast :evil:

Sounds like llDayo has been stripping too much lead paint. It does taste good (especially blue), but not recommended.

Pride is right, we will fill by word of mouth. No stripping should be needed (unless it involes the hotties from the previous thread). I was not considering the students that are getting out of class this month. My bad.

IMO have two pots, one to keep going, and the other to stop, I know where my money is going... right in his G-string...
