lan party
« on: March 19, 2014, 10:20:59 PM »
I know as of a building we could use, to hold 250+ computers. I can pretty much have the building anyday. Would just have to let the owner know. with a small charge per person for the whole night/days. if you are interested let me know. I live in the York PA Area. would like to have big lan sometime again.

Sure, it can hold 250+ people but does it have power? For a 250 person lan, we use 1200 amps of power. No less. Do you have that?

A few long tables we would have to bring. "all computer accessories/cables ect..." And just someone in charge of the event going on to set up the connection for all the gamers.

Is internet available?  Preferably a Comcast connection?  A single generator I am willing to bet can not support 250+ computers....and if it could, who is going to pay for the fuel?  Is there ample parking?  Will people be able to stay the night in this building?  What kind of building is it: a warehouse, office building, barn, shed?  Is it climate controlled?  Is it located near any hotels/motels?  What is the small charge per person?

It takes a lot...A LOT of planning and preparation to throw a LAN party as large as ours.
That's Mr. Deception to you.

It's a huge reception hall, they have 3 HUGE rooms. I will ask him all the question tomorrow. And yes A comcast connection will be available for sure. they have LOTS of parking spaces. so parking is def not an issue. It is about 1mile from a hotel. "nice hotel as well". I am pretty confident they can hold that many computers. Will fill you all in this weekend when i talk with the owner i am good friends with. the price perhaps maybe like 20.00 a person. Yes the people will be able to spend the night.
