I put a link to the old site with the working registration system on the NEW frontpage.

I just get a redirect to the forums when trying to access fites.net. Is anyone able to access the front page?

Yeah, it decided that if you were on staff you weren't allowed to see the front page...

Thanks again for the fix. Just ordered the new lap top, hopefully it arrives in good shape and I can break it in at the LAN.

Could i also suggest a redirect from http://www.fites.net/forums/ to the new forums site to get rid of the Hostgator 404 page.

Good idea. I did one even better. Since the site just moved up a folder, all OLD forum URLs still work and are redirected correctly.
Example:
