Crysis will be released at the end of this year by EA and is being developed by Crytek (FarCry). It's one of the first PC games to support DirectX 10.

Maybe it's because the game isn't finished yet and touching up may still be in the future but the lighting looks kind of fake and unnatural.
-
I can't get enough of these screens! Im assuming Idayo is being sarcastic cause to see this screen in motion is simply amazing.
-
I didn't see them in motion and I wasn't being sarcastic. The lighting just looks kind of weird and seems less realistic than it should. But again, the game might still be being touched up and seeing it in motion might help more.

Man that is so sweet, like the shadows and the lighting the most. Must break the bank for new video card.

you gotta see this running it i awesome!

The screenshots themselves are confusing me. the picture being depicted isnt confusing me its the quality of the picture. For some reason, the weapon/hand looks clean and crisp.... against a cgi background that looks like realism has been unsuccessfully forced onto it, along with the "blurs" of realism. It's just very weird. Im not so sure I like it.
lol another way to say it is, it looks like someone took a picture, blurred it a bit, and photoshopped an ingame weapon/hand model over it. It clashes too much. I havent watched the videos yet, but those screens just annoy me.
EDIT: just saw the movie, saw that it looked a tad better, though i really don't like the depth of field effect. Looked cool but didn't wow me.

What "wowed" me was the freaking bush when he went running by!

Soooo what line of cards now supports DX10?
-
none that are out. the nvidia G80's(GeForce 8000 series) and the ATI whatevers(whatever series after their current one. ati has too many numbers and letters i cant keep track. x1900XTXC!!!!1!) will have dx10 support.

the ati R600 series
