School is out in a day or two and I'm thinking of trying to coordinate a rogue lanparty in one of the computer labs at my highschool.  So far i believe the easiest and quickest game to install would be the original quake shareware.

Is there any way to install software to a USB key? this would make it a lot easier.

Any ideas suggestions to make this easier? (the lan)

ahhh i remember those days. we played Heretic on the school library computers.. not sure of any newer lannable games that would fit on a usb stick.

I thought you had to go thru all that training Crape to actually play in americas army. Thats the only reason ive never really played that game.

You do which would be a def reason why not to try it for a lan. Everyone would need to go through training on each individual account. Its a pain..that and the gameplay is a little "slow" if you know what I mean. Not the quick pace I prefer

Just leave the regkey file in there. Local servers don't check!
You can fit it into a rather small area too! You could actually make CDs and run it off the CD.

The only thing is having an opengl compliant video card... Seems that most of us forget about that these days.

Not the windows registry! Quake makes a regkeyfile name q3key. You know. Like a text file with the key in it.  

And if you must know that file will be found in your baseq3 directory.

Shadow:  A lot of schools have policys that make it so we can't modify the registry.

Also on that note, 2 years ago we brought in 4 machines and a hub and did ut in our media center, it was fun

yea if you can suck up to the media center laidies... you could prob get away with bringing your own rigs in...
