Title: Have you seen these PCs?

Post by: Petch on December 14, 2009, 12:17:33 PM: I have actually worked on worse. Czar can probably 2nd this, but working on systems that sit in the EMT/Firehall with the trucks running are the Fudgein WORST. The systems get covered in a black soot from the diesel fumes.

The area between the front bezel and the front intake fan was a thick hair and dust biscuit that smelled oddly of potatoes and corn (no I didn't sniff it, it was just that strong of a scent). Another I worked on that falls into this category was an old boss of mine's. The dust on the floor of his tower was so thick I told him he could have grown root vegetables inside his PC. It had to be at least two inches thick. My thumbnail was completely submerged and then some when I started to scoop out the nastiness.

I always bust out a vac and an air compressor before I even power on anything. I have seen some pretty gross stuff. Smokers and people with pets usually have the absolute worst machines.

Yeah, asking that thing to do a CoD4 Tournament was the equivalent of asking an emphysema sufferer to run a Triathlon... the results were nearly fatal as expected...
