Hey guys....

I was wondering what you think about this HL2 expansion pack?

Word is, they are going to take the last moment of the game, and expand on it... and that this is the reason the game ended so abruptly.

Also, do you agree or disagree with adding onto the game, as opposed to playing the game again from a different perspective like in Opposing force and Blue shift?

Thoughts?

Haven't played the game at all yet, so couldn't tell you. I know, I'm a poor excuse for a gamer. I didn't play the orginial HL until 2001, so that was what? ...a 4 or 5 year delay? So I might get around to HL2 by 2008 or so. I'll let you know then

I beat the game in about a month or two. Once you get started it is so addicting, the game is absolutely incredible I couldnt stop playing. But anyway Im glad they are making an expansion, but I just dont want them to come out with all these mods.(Opposing Force, Blue Shift) But I will definetly buy the game when it comes out. But I think they should give it away for free on steam do like an upload like they did with HL2.

While opposing force and blueshift were ok they did not compare with the story line that Gordon was in. They were just another point of view of the same story IMO. I hope Aftermath continues where it left off (not going to mention anything just in case someone hasn't beaten it yet) and continue the story. It only started to unfold and maybe for once we'll figure out why G-man was following Gordon around so much.

That's true but as long as Gordon does not die at the end of any of these versions you can have HL25 doing the same thing

woohoo, i beat half life 2. I am disapointed in the ending, but it is a good setup for more.
