It's almost mid-year so let's go through the list I compiled back in January to see where everything stands right now. I'm only going to write a few words on each game since it would take me way too long to go in depth.
Still Unreleased as of 5/18/2015Tom Clancy's The Division - This game has just been delayed again. The longer we wait, the more I prepare myself to be disappointed by it when it finally does release. I don't trust UbiCrap to make a well rounded game. I cannot put it down though since It hasn't released yet and there isn't much out there in terms of game breaking news. Continue to keep eyes open but prepare yourself for disappointment IMO. Hopefully I am wrong about this one.
Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age - Honestly have no clue about this one. I know it is still unreleased and it is going to be a F2P. I'll continue to watch out for it but it's not on the top of my hype list.
Overwatch - This game is now scheduled for closed beta in late 2015. They release new info and videos every few weeks and it looks pretty good so far. I have mixed feelings about it. I like that it will essentially be going for the TF crowd since that game is long overdue for death IMO but I don't really like to guzzle Blizzard wiener like a lot of others do. I'll play the game when it comes out because why not (also I have several friends that will probably go hard too) but I'm not stuck to my monitor awaiting new updates on the game.
Star Wars Battlefront - I have never had my hype for a game drop so far and fast as it did for this one. The hype went from overdrive to nonexistent in a matter of 3-4 day. It was really amazing actually. Just one bad announcement/move after another. There are so many disappointing things in this game that I'm gonna skip listing them. You can find them easily anyway. One of the more sad/funny things involved a dev telling a potential buyer that he should basically Fudge off and buy a second computer if he wants to play split-screen with his wife. He deleted that tweet pretty quick. You make your own decisions but I would recommend that you don't bother with this one unless mediocre is your thing and you enjoy games meant for the sole purpose of cashing in and ruining dreams.
Lost Ark - They are launching the closed beta in Korea later this year. There are still plans on bringing this to the western world if the game plays well but it probably won't be until late 2016 at the earliest. Game is super super pretty though. I am absolutely keeping this on my long term watch list.
Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void - This expansion went into close beta testing on 3/31. Not really following this as I don't play SC anymore but I know some of you do/did so I figured I would keep it in the mix even though it's a personal list.
Toy Soldiers: War Chest - Not really much info on this one. Still slated to come out sometime in 2015. Keep an eye out.
Released as of 5/28/2015 (Early Access and Beta Access IncludedDungeon Defenders 2 - I bought in to this one the second I heard they were selling council seats for $20. The game will eventually be F2P (as of right now) but you have to ability to cough up some dosh to participate in the pre-alpha and give feedback to help shape the final product. The game was very polished and I was impressed. They have made loads of improvements since then and even though the game is still technically pre-alpha, it plays almost like a finalized product. It definitely does not feel 100% like DD1; however, I like the changes they made. As of right now, I highly recommend that you continue to keep your eye on this one
Killing Floor 2 - This bad boy went on sale through Steam on 4/21 (Early Access). The game is super polished right now. It has a very limited number of maps/weapons/perks/etc...but still has a ton of appeal in its current state. I paid $30 for my copy and had so much fun that I ponied up another $30 for a friend of mine that would have never bought the game on his own (He enjoys it). As of right now, I not only recommend keeping your eye on it but also picking it up if you are interested at all in this game. It's worth the money in its current state IMO and it only contains a small percentage on the final product. (Bonus that KF is a LAN favorite. I have super high hopes for KF2 in this regard too now)
Evolve - What a complete disappointment. This game left a taste similar to dog Crap in my mouth (or what I'd imagine dog Crap to taste like). When first announced, this game had literally everything that we wanted. It sounded soooo good. Then the retarded started to creep in. The final product basically looked like a console kiddies playground. Fudge that right? Best part was that I couldn't even play the final product. That right...could not play it. Didn't support my resolution (3440x1440 at the time). They were aware of the problem during the beta and said it would be fixed before release...straight from the devs mouth. Well guess what...NOPE! They then had the nerve to delete all their tracks and claim that they never said that and they had to go buy another monitor to fix it?????? What? Gave it two weeks and then did a charge back (Thanks AMEX).
TOXIKK - Picked this up when it went Early Access back in March/April. Plays really well and they have been updating it frequently (they also have a solid timeline ahead of them too). Keep an eye on this one if you are in to the whole arena shooter genre and if you like UT better than Quake 3 (which would make you stupid but I won't judge)
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number - This guy was released on 3/10. It's pretty much exactly what we expected from the release. It's hard, it's full on violence, it's fast paced, it has killer jams that are almost hypnotizing. It also has a simulated rape scene right at the beginning. That pissed some people off (even though it's super cheesy). This IMO is a must buy if you are in to any 2D gaming. Go get it now....seriously go.
SOMA - Frictional Games has not really been releasing too much info on this game. We do know that it is in closed beta right now (very limited) and screenshots are looking beautiful. Keep your eyes peeled and ears open for this one later this year esp. if you go for games like Amnesia.
Decay: The Mare - This game was released on Steam back in late Feb. Reviews have been really positive so far. I have not had the chance to play yet so I cannot comment myself on the quality but it seems like a winner from what I've read. IMO based on the little I know, I would say pick it up still if you are in to point and click horror
Resident Evil HD Remaster - This game dropped on 1/19. Fudgeing awesome! I have a very special place in my heart for a few select games and RE1 is one of them. This remake is stellar. If you like RE1 then go get this Fudgeer now. You will not be disappointed. Also, pick Chris and go knife only. You won't.....pussy.
Ori and the Blind Forest - This game was released on 3/11. Holy Crap. This game is B E A UTIFUL. Super pretty. The gameplay is amazing and the story definitely hits you in the feels. Def. wins in the platformer department. If you like platformers like Rayman then go buy this game right now and thank me later.
Project Cars - This game was released on 5/6. This is THE racing game to buy (not including iRacing because...well...everyone knows that is the king of sim racing). Plays well, looks gorgeous, and it's pretty much everything you wanted in a racing game. There are some issues though and some of them are shady. If you have and AMD card you won't get bad performance but you won't get great performance either. Team Green is heavily represented in this game in every possible way. Draw you own conclusions.
Road Redemption - Still Early Access. I haven't played it yet and I probably won;t until a full release but I do have several friends that took the plunge and said they loved it so far. Still worth keeping an eye on for sure if you like Road Rash, riding motorcycles, beating the Crap out of people, or any combination of those choices.
Cancelled ProjectsShadow Realms - Bioware cancelled this for some reason. It was a pretty fast turn around so it must have done horribly reception wise.
