A good read about Ensemble Studios. They will be shutting down shortly after the release of Halo Wars dated to March 3 release. A good read that looks back on all the 14 years of success that they as a company have had.

ehhh screw that halo game!  overrated imo. The utter mention of halo brings a bitter taste to my mouth.  A game meant for the PC until MS bought it and didn't release it until it was old-school pixel hash.  And then they try to pull something equally crappy with halo2 only for dx10(my arse!!!!!)

I played Halo Wars. I wasn't impressed with it at all. It is like they took C&C3 and cut it all out and replaced everything.

Didn't ensemble do aoe as well? Or am I having another one of those "lapses" of memory.

No, your memory is correct. Ensemble is the studio that brought us the spectacular AOE series. RTFA....they talk about their early days making AOE and all the things they did right to make the studio successful, and unfortunately, all they did wrong to bring it down.

I too get that sour taste in my mouth whenever someone says Halo.  Overrated. Overrated. Overrated.

Overrated? Try underrated. Check out the review. Guess my assumptions were right.
