The patch is out for it, btw. Should auto update when you launch the game. (steam obviously updates it for you)

Fixes:

Front end:
Fixes server browser crashes. Server browser more resilient against corrupt online service data, and better support for large number of servers.
Several server browser ping issues resolved.

Windows XP stability:
Fixed crash on windows XP at end of round, exit game and display mode changes and.
Proper window style / mouse confinement when starting game maximized on XP .

Options dialog:
Mouse sensitivity setting gives more effect.
Mouse sensitivity loaded on game startup.

Still no alt-tab fix, but maybe it'll come later...

The Beta recognition of Joystick binds wont pick up my throttle control or view rotation on my Logitech Extreme 3d stick.

Another odd thing, my Windows 7 64bit screams when the game is up that system performance is slowed when the game is running. It says it is due to having the aero theme with the game running and asks if i want to switch to standard theme.  I am hopping this gets cleaned up... if a I975 extreme with 12 gigs of ddr3 1800 ram and 2 gtx 285 SSC's in SLI is running slow, I dont know what would happen to someone rocking 4 gigs and a single card....

Its weird though, cause I run with all settings maxed and the game itself runs smooth, I just get that annoying windows 7 alert and the only thing that seems slow is the alt tab between the game and desktop.

Anyone else doing the beta with windows 7 64 bit?

I'm doing the beta with Win7 64 bit and I got the same performance alert last night. Alt-Tabbing is buggy as well from what I and others have experienced.  I`m going to fiddle with some graphics settings tonight. On `medium` settings, it runs very smooth, but is choppy on `high` and I should be able to run it at that. Hopefully it's just `beta` stuff.

All in all, I would say that they are addressing issues in the beta very quickly. Look at the improvements we have seen in just 24 hours.

In case anyone missed it, you can adjust individual graphics settings. In the Graphics Quality dropdown list, choose 'Advanced' and it'll show all of the goodies for it.

Mother of god... so many people on the EA forums complaining about the lack of prone. It's seriously not that big of a deal, people! The gameplay is fast paced enough that it really isn't a necessity.

I'm surprised it was left out. I didn't read but was there a statement from EA as to why they omitted it? At least the snipers should be able to do it.

Dice says it's to discourage camping. Or at least to make the campers easier to take down. Fine by me.

To discourage camping and "dolphin diving" and supposedly DICE said it would unbalance the game. It's a change of pace and as a devoted recon, it's hard to get used to right away.... but it's not horrible. I do wish it was in the game, but honestly there's so much there already that it's more than made up for.

I mean... recon with a semi-auto shotgun and recharging mortar fire. Yeah, I'll live without going prone.
