Its a program that searches for patches basically. You used to have to pay for it. It just went free for download and use. I havent downloaded it yet, but I'd imagine it could come quite in handy.

XFire does the same thing. It knows what games you have installed on your computer and it downloads them via a P2P file sharing system built in. I got the new 1.3 patch for BF2 even before I got home from work the day it came out.
