Title: Games for saturday LAN
Post by: -Sp()()ge- on February 21, 2007, 10:40:22 PM
I read the post about the server.  It sounds like many games are becoming an option.  I know this is a loaded question, but here goes.  What games should be installed for Saturday?  Everyone throw in your list.

BTW, who wants to play Ghost Recon Advanced Warfare at some point?  Ace killa and I are recruiting interested gamers.

I second the zombie mod.. As I was reluctant to play it at first, it grew on me(get it? zombie? ha..ha..). But mine is the usual UT2K4, Whichever BF we decide to play(I uninstalled all of em, being frustrated with 2142 and EA last time). And maybe CofH if we can actually win.

I really am not CS's greatest fan, but zombie mod roxorz my soxorz.  It has got to be second only to TF as far as greatest mod ever.

What this really should be about is all the games that we have interest in, in its entirety. Not just this one but all future lans that are held. So that way everyone is up to par and no one would have to install the games in the process.

Definitely up for some more Zombie Mod. I have never had so much fun with CS in all of my life. When everyone was playing that at the last lan it was like a match made in heaven. I have since acquired Company of Heroes. (edited for content-we don't discuss/condone the use of said items)

I have a possible interest in BF 2142, and BF2. But since BF2142 is the latest and greatest thing, begs they question if BF2 is of any interest anymore. I know BF2142 is just a glorified mod. And to top it all off, anything that involves C&C I am all for. And I will definitely get the Tiberium Wars when it comes out the 26 of March. And some DOW and Dark Crusade, that is once I get them installed yet again.

Well with BF2142 few have a real copy and it blows when you dont have any unlocks.  Like whats the point of a medic without paddles anyhoo?

Tibs, I modded your post slightly.  See above.

Generally, the slate of games stays about the same.  The core games include:

BF2
BF2142
UT
CSS (w/mods)
COD/COD2

The amount of time spent on each game obviously varies.  It is really based upon how things are going and how much people are enjoying any particular game.

Things are in a drought mode of new releases, can't wait for some new ones.

One game I would be interested in trying this LAN would be SW Battlefront 2.

I have never played the multi player option for Farcry.  I think it would be cool trying that.  Tribes Vengenance would be fun too.

And for the last 2 or 3 LANs some of the RTS have been enjoyable, including COH and a lil CIV4.

I am up for some GRAW!  I jut bought it for a steal @ $20 and I absolutely love it, better than the 360 counterpart!

Interesting... GameSpot said the STALKER SP is close to as good as Deus Ex(which is still my fav FPS singleplayer experience)... unless you thought DX was boring too :P

Edit: I respect IGN's opinion a little more, they mention the story as being poorly told/boring.

Of course I'll have to try stalker out to make up my own mind..
