Frets on Fire

Guitar Hero for the PC. If any of you guys have played guitar hero, which I am sure most of you have. Then check out the PC version, it is essentially guitar hero. With the srouce code taken from the game and ported to the pc. Looks very similar but it does have its benefits. Such as importing your own music into the game, which is somewhat difficult but the website in the forums explains all that in detail.

Check out the website and download it, its only 30MB and includes three songs. And if you have guitar hero you can use it on the pc, just get a adapter or if you have a xbox 360 you can just plug it in.

Yes on the forum they mention a adapter for the ps2 controller so you can use the usb device in your pc. But if you have the xbox 360 guitar you can just plug it right in and it will work.

That would be nice cause I noticed when playing with my keyboard that it would start to bug out when more than 3 or 4 keys were pressed simultaneously.

I played this a few months ago and found the performance on it to be horrible. IT would slow down and stutter and just get out of sync way too easily.

And they did not take the source code for GH and port it to the PC. It is an independent project, it's just a GH clone is all.
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!

I couldn't see what code base they used, but if they didn't would have preferred that they used StepMainia's code base. They would have had a nice solid foundation that would have looked a bit better... But then again I am not a game developer.. What would I know?
