My 2 cents.
Prides link is very interesting. From day 1, I have always wondered about the lack of debris at the Pentagon. I never really gave the other stuff a lot of consideration. I guess it is possible tho.
Bringing this around to current situations and the sale of the operating interests of the 8 ports to a foreign country. Personally, it doesnt bother me that its an arab organization. What bothers me is that there are no governmental controls stating that the operating companies have to perform extensive background checks on employees (red flag). Currently, only 1 in every several hundred containers are physically inspected (BIG red flag).
To continue, Secretary Snow (Dept of Treasury) was the President/CEO of CSX, who 2 years ago (or so) sold his company to the UAE, making personally around 1.8 billion. Then, the new director of MARAD (the US Maritime Administration) David Sanborn who was nominated about 1 month ago, was the head of European and Latin American operations for Dubai World Ports. So the two people shepharding this deal through have made significant money from the UAE/DWP and are allowing us to hand over critical infrastructure control of our country to a foreign entity. Then there is the question of the 45 day waiting period on sales such as these for review by the government (chills running down my back ATM).
Should I bring up other aspects of the government handover including toll roads in Texas and Indiana, the use of RFID tags to monitor vehicles, the fact that the largest holders of public utilities in the US are foreign companies (god, I am sounding like a krazy man).
