Flying planes in BF2
« on: July 11, 2005, 09:25:59 AM »
So over the weekend, I was playing BF2.

I was flying a jet.. and was trying to get more ammo while flying low over my home base airfield.  I messed up and flew the plane right into the hanger, hitting the back wall at 300+ mph.

I think there is a slight bug, considering the plane didnt take any damage after the hit haha.

Also, I have flown a chapper into a tree, and it didnt take hardly any damage...

Anyone else notice any weird bugs in the game?

nope all physics have been acting realistically for me.

only weird bug i seem to have, tho i think its beacuse of my lack of memory, is the control lag im getting. like id be running in one direction, then quickly change direction. I'd be holding down the key in the new direction but i'd still move in the previous direction for a second or two. happens alot when i first load the map. so i think its just sytem lag

Pride, you could do that in BF42 as well. Was a nice way to repair a damaged plane at a fast pace.

yea, i used to do that all the time in 1942.

i am not sure about the heli part though.  I always find that when i run into something with the chopper, i am dead.

Hey pride if you think thats messed up Ill tell u a story. My one friend plays halo 2 on a regular basis. Well he was playing lockout and got the beam sword. He uppercutted the one guy but his corpse got stuck on the sword. I gets better it was a team slayer so his entire team stood behind him and used the corpse as a human shield. They ended up winning the match because of it.  Now thats a bug.

I skipped a jet off the water last night somehow.  I was playing around and a guy took off with a heli and saw me skip on the water but not crash.   I guess in real life you could do it but at that speed I should have flew through the windshield :)

If you fly a plane into a hangar at the right speed in 1942, you'll live even if you slam into a wall or something.
