Question about the BF3 tournament now that it switched to 8v8...

This really only is a concern because of Metro.

The map is EXTREMELY unbalanced itself.  The Russian path to B is quicker, and once there its a very hard up hill battle for B for the US team up narrow flights of stairs/escalators.  I'm not sure how much of an issue this is with 8v8, but the other normal servers I've never won a Metro conquest round from the US team that I can remember.

Will there be two rounds, one for each side?  If both teams win, whoever had the most tickets remaining wins?  something along those lines?  This would eliminate any kind of advantage by the map itself.

F3ar0n confirmed for me that there will be 2 rounds. Each team will have a round for US and a round for OpFor.

But yeah, I have no love for that map on any server sizes over 20. 64 player spam fests on there are redic.

Thats good to know.

Dont know how much FITES is mirroring official rules of other tournamants, but this should make you happy:

I for one have no preference either way.  I was poking fun at Broken more than anything :D

I can see why its banned, but at the same time, they're part of the game and can also be included.

This is the least concerning thing.  I'm just thoroughly excited theres a BF3 tournament to begin with.  Thank you FITES!

Hey man, I wont say people cant use them. That is up to the officials. I do, however, reserve the rigth to call some one a cowardly puss for using them. Then I will equip them and destroy them.

But you know if this was a real life situation and using either of those devices would save your arse, you'd use them.

I have played maybe an hour of the game. And I love being on Czar and dwg's squad. I love when they look at me. ;)

Is there any hope in getting a League of Legends tournament going here? Its free to play so i think the participation would be high. Its also pretty competitive.

I'd be down with announcing something and running a bracket. Come see a staff member at the lan and we'll get some details finalized. It won't be an official tourney as there'll be no trophy for it but we'll still help with the bracet stuff.

I have one question!  For the 2v2 MW3 (Xbox360) tournament, what is the set up? Split screen or individual screens?
