You get to run down wildlife!! Suh-weet!
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!

I may have to get it at some point.  I never played the first farcry at all.  Just never got around to it or had the desire.  My tastes go more towards the LAN games.
Never, but never question the engineers judgement.

yea i never really liked farcry all that much to be honest.  it just felt like a dumbed down version of battlefield and doom.  I do like Crysis though And i think this will be as good or better.

I'll fill you in on Farcry 1 and your missing out really if you havent played it. It's >> than Crysis I think (i just didnt care for crysis and it's plot or lack of one I should say...after I got past the cave, i completely saw where it was going and lost complete interest in it)

Man lost on island...used to be military. Island becomes a site for genetic mutation. Enjoy killing gorilla's and eventually people like 3x the size of you. Shoot down a few heli's and kill the boss who's in charge of the whole operation (who also just so happens to be genetically mutated beyond belief..but like 3x worst than anything else you fight in the game)

Plot thickens the further you get in the game..Basically doing rescue missions reveals more of whats actually happening..so the "mini missions" are like fill ins I guess you can say to the big picture)

The End

Don't listen to him....he's on crack!!!!  Crysis was better then farcry.  The whole first part of crysis is very good until you get inside the alien ship thats when it starts to fall apart.  crysis is a more open envirnment too.  Farcry was touted as being a true sandbox experience but it wasn't.  If i were going to get one  it would be crysis.  Idk about farcry2 yet though because the steam version isn't going to be released until tomorrow.  dammit Petch!!!!

Yeah that's why I lost interest in Crysis vs Farcry. At least with farcry I could get into the whole storyline about genetic mutation. It's a complete turn off to me when you build up a huge plot and then the big questionmark at the end of the tunnel turns out to be something like aliens. It's such a cop out. Thats why I thought War Of The Worlds was one of the biggest epic fails for Spielberg. Aliens as the centerfold "explain all" to a plot is just an excuse for developers poor decision to make a creative plot chart

My .02. Put a little bit more creativity in it...jeez. It's worst than how Nintendo is beating the whole Mario series. Like beating a dead horse to a pulp then continually raping it up the arse. It's over, there is no where else you can take the series where it hasnt already gone before. Just let it rest and come up with another completely new concept to carry you another 20 years

EA = The Biggest One Guilty Of Beating Once Good Game Series And Just Releasing Game After Game With No True New Thought Just To Milk The Tit Of The Cash Cow

Kinda like the "Thank you mario but the princess is in another castle." ending??

i really loved farcry, but just like Crysis, I would play the first half over and over and leave the second half to only cheat codes.  The second half of both games immediately lost the slow pace and changed the dynamics with wacky creatures or aliens and then kept things that way.

Crysis Warhead at least kept switching the pace back and forth from slow to fast and back to slow again.  I think they learned their lesson.

So, i'm hoping Farcry 2 will be fun... at least i'm sure the first half will be.  :P

You do realize War of the Worlds was written by H.G. Wells in 1898 when aliens were truly an "alien" concept? No one would have expected beings from outer space in 1898.
