Deus Ex Third Installment!

LINK...

As long as it is better than DX2, I'll be happy. Meaning, as long as the interface isn't dumbed down, or the physics are out of whack, or the story is actually compelling, or the textures don't look pixelated, or is as non-linear as the first, then I'll be happy.

yeah totally.  the first one pwnt, but yeah...  the second one was just plain boring.  the first one reminded me of a game called shadow run from back in the day.  from genesis, and super nintendo.  the games for the different consoles were both totally different and separate from each other.  the genesis version was totally non-linear, but the super nintendo version was very linear.  two different flavors on a very good idea.  deus ex reminded me of that...  post apocalyptic environment where people are all jacked up on cybernetic implants and modded weapons.

then there was johnny pnuemonic...  a movie on all the same ideas.  implants, hackers, and sweet weps.

There's a lot of third installment games are out, coming out, or in development that I am looking forward to. UT3, BioShock(basically System Shock 3), Fallout 3, Turok 3, DX3, C&C3 and some others that I can't think of right now.

i like C&C3...  it's a good game.   wooo fallout 3?   they've made a few fallout spinoffs that were...  well they were bad.  tactics was ok, i guess, but they made a FPS of fallout once.  it was freakin AWFUL.  if they're gonna do it, they should do it in the same turn based style they had before.  1 and 2 had such a great story...

UT3 was supposed to be out by now...  what's taking them so long?  their release date is: "it's ready when it's ready".  what are they on vacation or something???  WTF!!

Actually on a side note about UT3 that I recently learned...

Malcolms beret in UT3 has more polygons than the whole character had in UT2004

it's alot easier to make polygon meshes nowadays...  alright so the skins are pretty good.  SO??  i'm freakin selfish and i want my UT3!!  NOW!!!  they need to feed their game developers less and give them less sun..  make them think they're mole people slaves.  that'll get those games pumped out.

I want a good quality game! Not half-assed! Epic knows how to make quality games, so I'll leave them to do whatever the fark they're doing right now, even if it has been delayed back for over a year now. Better than rushed out and buggy as hell, I say.

did you play unreal 2?  the one with that half-baked storyline?  i dunno...  but i thought the game was pretty lame.  i saw there was a mod for it though that converted it into another UT.  i thought the graphics were better in unreal 2 than UT2k4.  so it might be a worthwhile endevour.

Actually, Legend Entertainment was the prime developer for Unreal 2; Epic's only involvement was engine support. I think I played the demo of Unreal2 for 5 mins. But yeah there was actually an actual retail-made addon called UXMP(Unreal 2 Expanded Multiplay). I remember the public beta being pretty fun.
