Haha, it is one of the very few books that I felt was certifiably stupid. No offense, it just seemed to be a bit cheesy.

I saw it today, never having read the book, I thought it was superb!  Though, I question its PG13 rating.  It should be rated R in my opinion.

As always, the book was so much better. If I try to take it on the basis of judging the movie soley (ignoring what I know from the book), I'd give the movie a 3.5 out of 5. It wasn't a great movie, but certainly was not bad. I thought Paul Bettany as Silas was a perfect casting, but I've doubted Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon from the beginning. I always pictured Langdon as more of a Pierce Brosnan type.

Please read the book if you haven't done so. It is a fantastic read that really keeps you interested from cover to cover, as well as the first Robert Langdon book, Angels & Demons. And though it doesn't feature Robert Langdon, Digital Fortress was also very good.
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!

I will start by saying that part of me hated it and part of me really liked it.  I read the book and I could not really even find a single detail that I thought the movie left out.  Personally, I thought the Silas part was very poorly cast.  As far as Robert Langdon goes, Tom Hanks did a good job, but Nicholas Cage or a younger Harrison Ford would have played the part better.  For a great book adapted to movie, they did a good job.

Thought the movie was solid as well. Started to read the book but never got the time to finish it. Guess I won't now that I know. The movie gets a solid 4 out of 5 in my opinion. Only thing that I absolutly hated was the ending. They tried to make the movie less offensive with the whole "its all what you believe" speech. I guess they thought it was inportant to try to make it less offensive. Like i said, just down right cheesy and killed it
