CS:GO cross platform gameplay

LOL, consolers will get mopped up by the PC crowd.

I know PS3 has proper usb support, but I've seen people try to make the switch from gamepad to controller and vice versa.  Its a hard one for most people.

I for one cannot even begin to use a gamepad for an fps.

Definately agree.  The TRUE FPS gamers (and the more hardcore gamers in general) are on the PC side.  At least for me personally, I just can't get the same amount of quick precision from a controller as I can a keyboard and mouse.  I also feel so SLOW all the time using one.  I am one of those "twitchy" reflex guys that plays fast paced stuff like Quake Live, Unreal Tournament etc. and I just need to have that quick flick of the wrist :P.

Now, I have seen some really good Halo players, and I must say that I am impressed with the amount of control that they have with it...I on the other hand just suck horribly.  Fighting games, and stuff like Gears of War I can hold my own decently enough, but true FPS games on console are just a struggle for me lol.

Console gamers vs PC gamers in an FPS game...will just get slaughtered....like it wouldn't even be remotely fair.

I don't see this being successful in the console world, if they cant become "pros" they will go back to flogging COD to death.

He was definitely the exception (not the rule) but there used to be a FITES guy (Mr. Whipper) who would "whip" everyone in UT 2004 using a joystick. Not a gamepad....a joystick. I still can't fathom how he did it, but he was very good. I'm sure there will be some pretty decent consolers with a controller, but I agree, an average PC gamer will beat even an elite console gamer head to head probably 90% of the time.
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!

This reminds me of the "project" that microsoft was working on.

First link under "microsoft pc vs console gamers" in google.
