well i got it dloaded and have played a bit of it. I like it a lot and think it's a blast to play. Im running it on medium settings and it looks fantastic and runs great. I tried at high settings and it dropped some frames but overall ran much better then the multiplayer. the foilage is amazing and lends itself to hiding from the enemy although they can and will use it too. This not a run and gun style game so you must cloak a lot or you'll be owned quickly. Don't forget to get the nvidia drivers for this game get the beta 169.01 which are made for this game. At this point i would give it a 9 out of 10 and i will definitly be getting it when it ships.

Yep, I played it a good 2 hours last night as well. This game is by far not as easy as the original Far Cry. The gun accuracy and shooting is a lot more realistic and enemies are more of a pain in the neck to kill. Overall I'll give the game a 9 out of 10. Some things that I found difficult to get used to would be the switching between powers (cloaking is fridging awesome) and adding on accessories to your gun during gameplay. The physics in the game are amazing. I found myself turning on the strength power and punching chickens 30 feet into the water, just seeing a splash as they fall. It was good entertainment for a good 30 min as I've wasted a lot of time just knocking down the buildings to see the physics of the game (everything in this game is destructible..literally! You can punch down the buildings, throw anything you see..glass breaks if you throw it against a wall or something...it's all interactive)
I didn't grab the lastest drivers as I prob should, but I ran everything on maxed and was still running around 40 with my 320 GTS. After playing, it really makes me tempted to buy Vista to see it in DX10 as mowing down all the trees with the 50 cal isn't enough (i wanna see individual branches and leaves fly when I shoot..LOL)
Well, with that said, I sold my 8800 GTS on ebay last night, so I'm out of a gaming comp until the 8800GT's come out. I was very happy that I listed it now, as I was able to squeeze out 240 for the card that I bought brand new 5 months ago for 300. If the rumors of a 11k 3Dmark 06 hold true, then I should be gaining a good bit (my GTS is doing around 9K right now with my C2D @ 2.93 and 2Gb of DDR 800)
Anyways, it's a tough call because I don't wanna buy a GT right off the bat and then see a huge overclock GT's be released, and I've also read the beefier GTS with 512 mem and 128 pixel is to be released in mid November for around 300. I knew I had to make a move quick to get the most I could before the new stuff was released, but now it seems I'm unsure if I wanna dive into a GT immediately during release or wait a few weeks to see what the new GTS's are doing in comparison to the GT. Any who, back to the topic in hand, it's awesome and is def gonna be a buy on release date. It's that good
