crysis
« on: February 13, 2008, 10:44:31 AM »
OK, the game is pretty and I'm happy with how it runs on my system.  I like the suit functions and the weapons are ok (I could get picky here and let my counterstrike side come out but I won't).  But WTF is with all the bugs?  I mean seriously.  I am playing through on normal difficulty like I usually do to beat a game before ramping up the difficulty.  I won't even get started on the retarded AI, on second thought scratch the retarded part, it is insulting to retarded people everywhere to compare them to the ai in this game.  But technically that is not a bug, having to completly replay recovery 3 times from different saves because at some point psycho (the friggin coward "there's incoming armor, you go take care of it yourself while I stay here with the korean chick"  what a prick) winds up glitching and not making the call when the 2 tanks are dead.  AI pathing making the enemies walk into walls.  various clipping and physics problems.  In this day and age how can you put out a game touted as advanced and not have decent physics.  At least some ragdoll or something.

How this steaming pile of alpha build game got a 9.5 at gamespot I'll never know.  I guess because it would be fun if it were finished.

Makes me think of this song

That song was just as cheesy as the crap they were singing about.

But I haven't played Crysis through. I'm surprised that the AI would be as bad as you say. FarCry AI was fantastic. I would've thought they'd learn from it.

Maybe I'm spoiled because I'm used to playing against real people, but honestly the halo 3 AI seemed IMO far superior to Crysis ai.

If your into the ragdoll physics, theres a mod to enable it. I never noticed the AI doing that in my game.  I rather enjoyed the game up to where you go into the zerp gravity ship.  that one i could've done without but aside from that it was a great game.  Ima graphics junky so my opinion is biased.
