So I'm sure some of you caught the news by now and some of you haven't, so I'll just put it up that a semi-complete, beta version of Crysis 2 got leaked somehow.
Not going to post the torrent for obvious reasons, but I thought I'd just make a note of it.
Supposedly it's beta enough that there's a level editor and the complete SP campaign, but the game has technical problems like having a hard time switching resolutions or something. I also read no DX11.
And then there's this comment on Kotaku. "I shall still purchase this. I've been following the drama on a certain site, and people that have torrented it have dumped pics and impressions. From what I gather, it's a sad departure from the first game, and in many ways more "consolized." The various individuals noted that supplementary features such as prone and leaning are noticeably absent. The way the nanosuit functions they say is not as it was in the first game. They also expressed disappointment at not being able to minutely change graphics options. They were only allowed to change the overall settings. And no AA? Must be cause its the beta. I couldn't see this game without AA."
I liked Crysis and plan on getting this eventually, but this is... yeah. Totally unexpected move to see someone at either Crytek or EA leak this a month early. Shades of the Half Life 2 and Doom 3 "leaks."
