"Intended for companies with 20 to 500 employees (even in multiple locations), the fiber-based IP network is touted as a “cost-effecive” upgrade from older technologies such as multiple T1 lines and Frame Relay. Some of the purposes of using such a broadband solution include SaaS applications, cloud computing and business process automation."
"As of today, Comcast has launched Metro Ethernet Services in the following metropolitan areas: Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Harrisburg (Pa.), Hartford, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Miami, Nashville, state of New Jersey, Oakland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Portland, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, Washington D.C. and western New England."

Yes, it's actually been in the Harrisburg market now for about a year and a half with a pretty big ramp up of staff late last summer. Think hospitals, school districts, multi-location enterprises, etc. I showed Decepticon one of the million dollar plus pieces of equipment that helps run these services when he came to pick up the modem we use for the monthly LAN's.

That's a different network. And I was impressed....with both.
