2d Fighter is a way for MAME players to connect and play games over the net. It uses a special emulator with a limited number of supported games to connect and play as if you were in the arcade. Connections are managed through a central server but once playing the game with someone, your ping is based on your connection to the other person, not the ping of the central chat/match making server.

A special note: Wireless connections will NOT work. As soon as one packet is dropped, the games lock up. Yes.. the CzArcade has a 75' cable that can run upstairs to the router for when I play. Its very much worth it.
