Well, I just finished the demo and it was great! However, watching the video "credits" at the end showing different parts of the game to me it doesn't seem all that great. I'll watch for reviews when the full version is out but it looks like there could be a lot of repitition with enemies and sceneries. I could be wrong though.

nitro, Agent sent me this (he's having problems posting):
Quote
I should mention that bioshock is so totally unrepetitive. Actually Halflife 2 felt way more repetitive than this. I'm halfway through the game atm, and at no point whatsoever has the gameplay gotten stale. It is continually fresh, intense, and...just wow.

as for reviews, here's the metascore page for it: http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/bioshock

scroll down for the list of review scores. All in all, this game does not disappoint in the least. It's freaky at night with the lights out, it's psychological, it is immersive, it is daunting(the freaking third level took me 4 hours to get through), it is spectacular, and it is very very original.

I'm guessing you've gathered that I love this game so far... but theres a reason a large  bunch of reviewers are giving 100% scores. The game kicks ass.

So yeah I guess this game is a personal preference. I loved it, whereas my friend chris thought it was boring and unimpressive. though he is normally very critical of games anyhoo.

I was playing the demo at Shadohawks yesterday on the 360. The water effects were very impressive.

So yeah just beat it a couple mins ago. I liked it a lot, but the ending was sort of anti-climactic. I guess overall I'd rate it 8.5/10. The story wasn't really explained to me much, there was some, but either I'm deaf and didn't catch wtf was going on, or it just wasn't said.

It could be replayable, but I might wait awhile to get back to it. Or maybe play it again when I get better hardware... see what it's like at higher framerates :P

Agent, there's supposedly 5 different endings, 2 happy and 3 sad. It all depends on what you do in the game. You should play through it again but maybe try to spare lives or something.

Well, in all seriousness, I didn't see much in the way of choice. And the ending was somewhat confusing to me. I got a bad ending. And yet, I only harvested one little sister throughout the whole game, and saved the rest.

I'll have to see how it plays out if I harvest them all, but something tells me that as far as gameplay is concerned, the game will most likely play out in the same fashion no matter which way I go. But the standard I'm using for this non-linear model of gameplay is Deus Ex, where the choices you made definitely had repercussions elsewhere. So I can't help but be a little critical.

Will have to see though.

I haven't played this yet, so I'm not really sure what ADAM is, but this might help some of you out while playing.
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!
