That's the last of the recycled maps. If they put out any more map packs, they will be completely new maps (hopefully).

Yup. ALL bc2 dlc is free for PC users. It's also free for xbox users, provided you bought a new copy (used copies need to pay a one time $15 "VIP" fee ).

Apparently, this map pack is not a DLC. Seems more like an unlockable, considering this quote from the dev's twitter feed:

"VIP Map Pack 2 is out on PC NOW! Just join a server running the maps."

Cool, I guess.

So if we purchased through Steam do we just use the key from steam or is it automatic?  I dont recall getting a VIP code.

I thought the Code was one of the ones that kept popping up in that steam message when launching the game. It listed 2 codes, 1 for activation and one for the VIP.

I believe that second one was used to get the early weapon unlocks when it first launched. If you try to use that code now it won't let you as it has already been activated.

Yeah, I remember the weapon unlocks (m1 was bugged), but thought that was tied to the VIP as well...

Yeah only the consoles have VIP codes, I think. For PC, it's automatic, provided via game updates.
