Its not very playable for me.  Even with a GTX570 my frame rate drops when i snap to things.  Makes aiming extremely difficult.  I also seem to have to play on LOW settings else I cant keep a frame rate above 50fps.  I have to get used to some of the other like the auto corner peek.  Even considering its in beta...

yea there are some serious framerate issues.  But still looks to be a good game.

So they prep a high-profile game for months and the premier (HA) anti-cheat (HA HA) system that they pimp out isn't ready for the load.

Slick.

On my GTX770 on Win8 I've been getting 60+ on a mix of high and ultra.  Problem is I can't stay connected to a server for longer than 5 minutes before the game crashes.

My default settings are coming up as a mix of ultra and high... runs smoothly between 60-80 fps.

Is there any built-in way to check frame rates or would I have to use fraps?

I would just use fraps. I do not believe there is console.

I have been playing on two rigs.  One is my home machine i7 2600 with 16gb's of ram and 2x gtx570's and I get decent FPS at around 50-60 (with vsync) with only minor drops at times.  This is on a mostly high settings with sbao and 2xAA.

At work I have a core i7 3770, 8gb ram and a single gtx570 and I get between 40-50 on all medium settings with sbao and 2xAA.

I know that the Beta drivers that were released are rubbish for me.  I had horrible frame rate drops until I rolled back to the WHQL drivers.  Then there was the PB fiasco.....

All in all I like BF4.  I am really waiting to see the other maps that come with the full game.
That's Mr. Deception to you.

Supposedly we're getting Paracel on the 11th... I don't know that it's been confirmed yet, though.
