At this point, DICE is just as much at fault...

DICE is more at fault for a lot of this stuff than EA. Devs are not infallible.

They've available, but....

Well, I logged into a server in Illinois and my first words were "WHERE THE HELL IS MY OSD???" and then "OH MY GOD THE LAG OH MY FudgeING GOD"

Not editing for language. It was that bad.

I got on a server and it was decent.  Although my drivers are crashing left and right on this 8800gt.  But the time I played was fun.  Can't wait to try it on my gaming rig.
That's Mr. Deception to you.

I got in early this morning and was in a full 64 man server and there was no noticeable lag at all.  got in a little later and there it was LAGGGGG!!!!  I had a blast.  I even got in a little sniper time and there is just so many hiding spots it's just crazy.  Fear the broken one once he starts playing!

So apparently the console versions are getting an option to install higher resolution textures to their respective hard drives or something? A step in the right direction I guess, but methinks that putting that effort towards enabling modding ability and local network play would increase the shelf life of BF3 substantially.

Starting to beat a dead horse a bit, but goddamn will I ever beat it to a bloody pulp.

Hope you all don't mind the bit of the ol' copy and paste, but....

http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/forum/threadview/2826551139132395199/

I figured a direct post directly on the battlelog forums would be a good place for this to go as well. Edited a few words and cut out the paragraph starting with "before this weekend" since it's been a bit since that particular weekend (and I didn't see any way to post pictures, negating the need to reference the picture of the banner). All cred to Decepticon of course, for making up the original post. Just trying to do my part.

Alt-F4 ALWAYS worked for me... I played for about 5-10min before I got frustrated with the Crap interface. Open Origin, Origin opens FF, FF wants a plugin, install plugin, restart FF, find game, oops full, find game with space, launches game in window, Alt + Enter for fullscreen only works with left Alt key, spawn, open menu, get killed while menu is open, menu closes but blue overlay and sound dampening stays, respawn, STILL crap overlay, Alt+F4, Fudge YOU EA.

Having to redo the Alt-F4 every round is also freaking annoying...
