I still have my Soldier of Fortune in the original box. Played the hell out of that game.

If they are getting this competitive, hopefully it will drive them to do things that are actually good for gamers. Heck if MW3 does roll with dedicated servers, that is a big step.

If it comes with actual dedis AND manages to deviate from being too similar to the previous titles, I might actually buy it. Think I'll just enjoy Rage for a while, first. And Deus Ex.

Does anyone else thing Deus Ex was a bad name? I mean every time I hear it, it makes me think about the hardest Crap I ever took... I could have named that Deus Ex...

It's pronounced "dey-uhs eks", not "Doos eks" as I've heard many people say over the years. It's from the Latin deus ex machina, the definition of which, in the context of the game's story, would mean "any artificial or improbable device resolving the difficulties of a plot". The literal translation means, "God from a machine".

So, nothing at all to do with dropping a deuce. Sorry to ruin your day by shattering your shat dreams ;)

Waiting for the, "Fudge you sully" in 3...2....1....
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!

I would imagine almost everyone took a Crap so big that the end result was an improbable device that resolved the difficulties of a plot. The Crap and its immense size was the improbable device and taking a massive Crap was the difficult plot.

So yeah, Fudge you sully : )' semantics is a bitch... p.s. I wrote this listening to Falco...

Less about the pronunciation and more about the semantics...

Raise your hand if you have ever given an upper decker... hand raised...
Raise your hand if you have ever torn the toilette out of some one's house, put it on their back side walk, then taken a Crap in it... hand raised...

Looks like it's final. We won't be getting the ability to make our own servers on our own machines. This game keeps looking worse and worse. I cancelled my pre-order and put it on MW3.

Baaaaaah.  Baaaaaaaaaah.   Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

Ok...so I have been watching a lot of the multiplay vids out there for BF3.  And I think I may have to eat my own freakin' words here....so....wait for it.....I think I might have drank the koolaide.  The game looks damn good and looks damn fun.  I haven't made my final decision yet but I am leaning towards getting this.

I still stand behind my views on LAN servers being left out of games though. I am sure more developers/distributors will be following this model unfortunately and there probably isn't much I/we can do about it.

As much as I want this, they're still being jerks about the lan bit and now they "act" like they're changing their minds about the mod bit. I thought modding the game would be too complicated for us regular humans? I won't support someone with nearly $100 of my money if they're actually going to look down on me.

I might actually buy MW3 just on the lan functionality alone.
