Corrected GLX to GXL....

Am I the only one who feels like the picture was a bust because, by my count, I see 50 people in that picture. How can we represent ourselves as 200 concerned gamers, when only 50 people were in the picture?
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!

To be fair, I doubt every attendee could've fit on those steps. Happily, that is. The fact that we HAVE a picture/proof at all is much more than any standard forum poster usually has.

Things on forums concerning a game series usually include: "I've played since BLAHBLAHgame23BLAHBLAH know what I'm talking about" and "here are my pc specs, will the game run?"

We HAVE a picture. We HAVE a solid, well-written post. We have links to this website and references to the other big LAN events. I'd say this is a pretty good start. I think there should be something on the main page here that points all goers, regulars, semi-regulars and visitors, to the 2 forums pages, though.

Also corrected in each post.  I think the sigs on the banner is representative of our intentions and of how many people actually signed.  I could post something to the tune of...we couldn't fit all 200 in the pic.  But no one has pointed that out as of yet.

I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.  "Not everyone was available for the pic who signed."  "A lot of the people were sleeping or eating."  yadda yadda yadda

my post...

Signed.

If they are going to go and name this game BF3, why on earth are they going to short change this storied franchise by not including dedicated servers.

Do you think games like CSS or TF2 would still be going as strong as they are without dedicated servers? Heck no. Plain and simple. Games without dedicated server support die out faster than those that have it.

The first thing that comes up in serious discussions in the PC community is, will there be dedicated server support. If the answer comes up as a no, I have personally seen thousands upon thousands of pre-order cancellations as a result and know of tens of thousands by way of colleagues and friends.

Dedicated server support, or you are immoral communists and should die to campers on the dedicated servers of Homefront!

So they've confirmed that they're NOT using the system that MW2 did... well. it's a step in the right direction.

I posted a new topic here: http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/5373259.page

Crap got pushed down the list.  Keep posting in that Crap.  Non staffers should post too!  I would say DWG and Agnt post...but you are going to buy it at launch anyway...pussies.

Doesn't mean they can't post and support a worthy cause. I did my part and brought it back up to the top after I got home from work.
