Plan to....trying to find the cheapest way to do so. I did a quick check for FedEx and it would cost $90 to send to Stockholm, Sweden. My step dad works for FedEx, so I need to see if he can hook me up with some kind of discounted service ;)

I also want to have all of the pictures, video, etc. from the LAN available before sending it off so we can show that we are in fact a LAN party and not just a random bunch of nerds holding a sign.
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!

$90? That's.... expensive, but surprisingly manageable. FOR THE CAUSE!!!!!!!! and all that jazz.

I can drop $10-15 into a paypal this weekend if it'd mean anything to ya.

YES. I mean, uhhhh.... carry on, good chap.

Someone who's good with those word-things and can make them all presentable-like oughtta consider making a formal introduction and whatnot, then we can post from there. Though, I have a feeling the end result won't be the grand invasion by 200 people that was originally planned.

I'm thinking up something polite and thorough to put in the right place, but it's taking some time. I want it to sound really good, so I'm not rushing through anything while I think this stuff up.

So with the help of Fearon this is what I think should be posted to any forum dealing with BF3:

Quote
I am a part of one of the largest LAN Party organizations on the East Coast with www.fites.net. We recently held our largest yearly LAN party  (February 25th-27th) with much success. We had a total of 180 gamers from across the country (from Texas to Massachusetts) come out for a 40 hour event filled with tourneys, games and all around fun. Indy game developers such as Cipher Prime (www.cipherprime.com) and vendors such as Frozen Q (www.frozenqpcmods.com) have come out to support our event. Ourselves and our sister LANS (Pittsburgh LAN Coalition, PAX East, The GXL and Digital Overload) are seeing rough times ahead due to the elimination of dedicated LAN support. I feel there needs to be a topic to discuss this outcry.

The gaming experience you have during LAN play is unmatched in comparison to online play. Unfortunately this unique experience is dying off quickly as the game industry pushes further ahead. Games such as Counter Strike Source, Call of Duty 4 and Team Fortress 2 can only hold the interest of gamers for so long before new media is available. We at FITES have taken action to voice our opinion. As you are most well aware of, EA is about to release Battlefield 3 for PC within a few months. This release will most likely be focal point on the future of LAN Parties across the board. We at FITES are attempting to make a point that we need dedicated LAN server support from the industry to continue supplying the LAN Party experience to gamers across the country. We have come up an idea and would like to have our voices heard.

Before the weekend, we went ahead and constructed a banner directed towards EA and Battlefield 3. It states simply this: No LAN Support for BF3, No Support from the LAN Community; Signed 200 Gamers. We had an overwhelming positive response from our LAN Party attendees who signed the banner throughout the event. Later on, we went ahead and had a group picture with the majority of gamers in attendance holding the sign proudly so EA and everyone else can see. Even with the overwhelming support from the gaming community, I feel our statement will fall on deaf ears.

In the past....Battlefield games were a MAJOR LAN game.  The support of LAN enabled dedicated servers was a huge draw for LAN party goers to play a huge 64 player map destroying each other all in good fun.  Ever since the introduction of "pay for dedicated servers" on the net, this has all but destroyed the ability to have a decent play experience at a LAN party.  We at FITES.net sincerely hope you take this large community seriously when we say:  No Dedicated LAN support = No Support from the LAN community.  You will be cutting out a HUGE following if dedicated LAN servers are not implemented.  Maybe take a note from blizzard, utilizing a one time key check over the net and allowing the use of dedicated lan servers on a local LAN.

Sincerely,

200+ concerned LAN party goers and FITES.NET

I would think the official EA bf3 forum would be a good start.  if there is one.

I'm pretty sure enterbf3.com is just a fan page.

However, this would be appropriate: http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/categories/show/215.page

Do both

I posted a new topic here: http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/5373259.page

and here:  http://enterbf3.com/viewtopic.php?t=1333

Reply to both!  Make new posts with the same message.  Do whatever it takes to make our voices heard.  It's one thing to have individuals post random threads here and there, but to have all of us post the same thing and in the same threads may bring on positive attention.

"I am apart" - "a part"
Change the, "this past weekend" because it's been a few weekends by now.
"would like to have our voices by heard" - Edit out the "by."

Otherwise, that looks pretty good. Kinda the same vibe that I was going to aim for, but you got it first so you get the credit.... oh snap I just found it on the official forums. NEVERMIND.
