Title: Battlefield 2 at FITES?
Post by: Murdock on February 11, 2017, 01:08:23 PM
Hey. Would anyone want to play BF2 at FITES?

You can now download the whole game and all expansions for free at https://battlelog.co/ (https://battlelog.co/) . We played it last night. What a great time flying around in the choppers and tanking around in the tanks!

We will bring the server. Do you think we could get 32 v 32 on Sharqi Peninsula  or Karkand?

There is also 2142 if that has any interest.

I just downloaded and played some Wake Island 2007 on BF2. Brought back some major memories.

The only thing with 2142 is it does not native 1080. Might have to edit a config file for something. Other then that it runs beautifully.

I would be down for either but definitely looking forward to 2142!

I'd imagine most of our group would be down for either BF2 or BF 2142.  Don't believe 2142 had LAN support though....BF2 definitely does.

I actually posted in their forums a few months ago and got an answer for 2142 (Yes):

Me: Quick question - Does Revive BF2142 have LAN support? I would love to play this again with a bunch of friends at our annual 250 MAN LAN party.
Admin: Just download the server files from the downloads section and start it up. It'll show up in your local tab on the multiplayer screen. If you set sv.internet to 0, it will not show up in the list at all. If sv.internet is set to 1, you can still play a LAN game on the local server, but the internet will be able to join and play along.

Worth a try, but if BF2 is even easier, then [given enough interest] I'm down for that at the event!

ONLY ELEVEN DAYS LEFT BOIS!!!
