Hey, awsome stuff guys. Props to all the fites staff who made this lan awsome. i would attend anything like that again. Pride or any of the fites staff, i am wondering, how much did you actually game?
:10:
The hotel seemed like they worked well with us. And it is funny, ati and nvidia were sponsors, and a computer store ends up give out the video card.
Thanks again guys, and i hope to do this again in the future.
p.s. whoever took that usb fan thing that sits on the desk is on my hit list. I wanted that thing really bad!

I thought it was an excellent exp. Me and my brother really enjoyed it. Since this is my first time to a LAN Party, I don't have anything to compare it to. I would have to say that I would definitely come to another and maybe with more friends. I thought that the staff was really cool and things worked out fairly smoothly.
Brock Lee and Senator :2thumbsup:

The 100ML was absolutely MONEY. I'd be back anytime!
Big thanks to the FITES crew, GIZMO, and the tech dudes for taking time out to help me fix my comp, excellent LAN guys, excellent LAN.

The staff did do a great job... big ups to them... especially Nimby who came through in the cluth with the network.
But without the great, and patient at times, gamers, we are just a crew without a cause!
Thank you to everyone who showed up, and those who couldnt make it. I will have pictures up in the next couple of days.
Thanks again everyone involved!!!

xankriz agrees, this lan was terribly awsome

The scale only goes up to five?! :10: :10: :10:
-
i was to lazy to make it go to ten, so consider 5 being a 10

But, These amps go to 11.
Thanks guys, I had a great time.

heh, I didn't game much, only UT2k4 actually ... but that's TOTALLY cool with me, cause I didn't even have any of the other games ;)
besides, I enjoyed it, and loved doing the network for everyone, glad you all enjoyed it :)

Why don't you make 10 your loudest setting and then put it up to that when you need that kick?

Had a great time at the LAN. Next time, though, I'm going to see what FnDragon orders before offering to pay for his dinner (bastard got the filet mignon).
Personally, I was glad to have the trance running in the background all day. But then, I listened to trance all the way to the LAN and back, so I was already in the mood for it. :)
Lessee... comments... First up, Nimby, how the heck did you get so much gear gathered together? The LAN was truly impressive. I never did get DHCP running right, but a quick static IP took care of that for the day.
Tourneys were fun, even though I got owned by The Brothers (that's just what I'm going to call them from now on - Senator and Brock Lee kept my defeat in the family, so to speak). Lots of UT2004 and BF:Nam goodness - which is a good thing. Not one bit of CS. Also a good thing.
I'll definitely make the drive down for the next large scale LAN. And this time, hopefully, I'll be able to talk more than one other FITH'er into attending.
And Pride, we didn't quite have 40 people in BF1942, so I never did get around to wetting myself. Sorry.

Dumpster Diving is a godsend for good parts ;)
actually, seriously, those switches were all "throwaways" from various LARGE companies down in the baltimore area ...
I spent some time learning the IOS for them all, and poof, you have what you saw on saturday :D

LAN was great, and so were all the staff! Nimby really had some great ideas on how to get my comp to work. None of them worked though :annoyed: but Tekie finally came through, and some how, got it to work. I then took 3rd in Unreal. I was rusty! Next time that card 'll be mine.
Tekie - I'll give your NIC back next LAN! :beers:
