And is there a certian time that you have to be there. I wouldn't be getting off of work until 5pm on Saturday and won't geet there until 6:30 by the earliest, would that be a problem?

Unfortunatly I don't think I'm gonna be able to make it now. To make a long story short...My comp was acting a lil funny yesterday. It did a lock-up the first time around..Then I got a memory dump about 30 min later. Then finally last night it just shut down suddenly. I unpluged all my power sources so I had just the ram, mobo and video card and it wouldn't boot. I tried my ram in my sisters comp and it worked fine so its def not the ram. My first assumption was that it was the PS but I had just bought a Ultra PS Tester and it light up everything perfect so its not that. I know the cpu is ok cause the fan was still running when I went to run the PS tester so its nothing with that.

Anyways, when I felt the Northbridge fan, I ended up toasting myself. The thing has to have been over 70 degress C. Anyways, I'm thinking that my mobo ended up frying.

If anyone has any other ideas, please let me know. I'm about 90% sure though this is the prob since the PS seems to be working fine. I'm selling a few things on ebay to try to make up the cash. I guess having to replace my Mobo will finally give me the boot in the butt I need to upgrade to PCI-E instead of AGP. Anyways, sorry I can't make it. I doubt I'll be able to recover in time for the lan this sat. :bigcry:

Sorry to hear about your luck. The LAN bug bites early. I assume then that your pals won't be along?

Is that a 939 board? Cyberwarehouse has an Asus (A8V-VM) micro ATX form factor with PCI Express that supports DDR 400 for $80. I actually just put this board in as a new game server w/my old 4000+. Your not going to get much OCin out of it tho. Figured I would let you know.

I was also thinking of going with a MSI k8n sli board. The board itself is outdated but it supports 939 socket, SLI (full 16x each) and has PCI slots (since no one seems that devoloping pci-e 1x is inportant..I need some PCI slots) Anyways it.s a good OC'r as well (got a 3500 to 237 FSB..granet it had to up the volt to 2.75 but it could do it..though I wouldn't run anything that insane unless its to see exactly the highest I could get my benches to push)

Umm.anyways, hopefully within 2 weeks I'll be back. I would go and just buy a quick AGP mobo and maybe be able 2 make it for the lan, but I know I need to upgrade to PCI-E and so I think it would be pointless to invest in another AGP board just for the sake of getting back up and going. I can wait out my gaming a few weeks to be able to get a better system

**WANTING TO BREAK THE 3DMARK Records...Though I'll need a lot more than this or A LOT OF OC'ing to do it..LOL

Was debating 1942 or Vietnam also. I know that quite a few folks have copies of GRAW now also ($20 at Wally World). We will have quite a bit to do.

Any of your other KOS pals gonna make it? Owner? Angel? Klump? Get on their butts. I havent seen them in a quite awhile.
