I just got it, the demo was fun, hopefully this doesn't turn into the digital equivalent to the thousands of dollars worth of cards sitting in my closet.

Last weekend I unlocked a new deck and completed two of the challenges. The AI is a bit difficult even on the lowest setting.

In that case you suck because I've been playing them on the hardest setting and I'm up to challenge 8 on the campaign mode, and I find it almost impossible to lose at this point. And ZX you should bring a deck along to the LAN, I'd love to play some actual cards with someone.

I so wish I could make it to the next LAN. The next one I get to I will be sure to bring along some of my decks. I have been playing the twins but they have just learned the game and haven't really found the knack of building and playing a well thought out deck.

ive got 2 of the sample planeswalker decks that were sent out free a year ago. those still valid?

As long as they are at least 40 cards and you can play them yes they are valid. Most of my decks are Fallen Empires and 4th Edition, which are about 15 years old now.

Jesus...this is turning into dice and card game convention instead of a lan. We are only going to be here for one day....are we going to get ANY pc gaming in?

I would too, but I forgot half the errata and everything is all a mish-mash of insane rules now. My collection is pretty solid from Alpha-Mirage, after that I stopped collecting/playing regularly.
If anyone wants to play online hit me up, id love to do a two headed giant game sometime.

HATE HATE HATE. My first online game was a threeway and I was just about to win and then dotp.exe blows up, couldnt play with cursed either :(

Second game almost went through to completion. I won but he quit. His only hope was some creature he tapped all his mana for that I counterspelled, the rape train was just leaving the station and he bailed.
Still counted as a win, I am now ranked #1300ish of all players.

We could all hold an ethernet cable while we sit around the DND table if that will make you feel better. We could even make cardboard monitor frames to make it seem even more like a LAN game.

Well, I think if we have a LAN ( public LAN) then we should try to keep the non-PC gaming to a minimum. I don't want FITES to get the reputation of being nerds or anything. ;)
Seriously....if we're having a LAN party it should consist of playing multiplayer PC games over a LAN....mostly. Maybe keep the pencil and paper games to the more private lans? It just souds liek this lan is turning into more of a D&D session/Magic/Pokemon/touch each other......Just a thought.

I kinda wanna get this game... is the AI fun to play? I know some have mixed feelings about the difficulty. Or are there enough people online playing that its fresh?

I'm kinda surprised that game just came out on PC. It was out for a long time on X360. On that note I suck at it. I didn't get very far in comparison because... well like I said I suck.
