I dunno what kinds of personal standards you all have for FPS games and the Aliens franchise. I'm done playing for the day as I need to sleep since I work tonight, but figured I'd pass along this quick opinion of the game so far (I'm not very far in).

I like it. I'm not looking for the game of the year, I just wanted to blast some xenos. I've read reviews and opinions and I think the "hate" is rather misplaced. It's a console port like so many things are and it's so easy to see in the game textures, character animations and NPC AI, but I honestly give the game a C+ based on the SP aspect of it. It's predictable in it's actions, but it's set in the Alien-verse and thus I have a certain amount of enjoyment from that alone. I realize it *could've* made a stand for game of the year considering crysis3 is out next week and bioshock infinite comes out next month, but it failed on that point. Haven't done MP yet and am gonna wait for the lan to do that.

I don't regret spending full cost on it, but it could've been better served. If you're on the fence and could use the money for other and better things, wait for a steam sale. If you can spend the money and like me, know you're going to enjoy it for the most part then buy it full cost.

My 2cents.

Still an alright game. It's not like it's Daikatana or anything.
