Act of Aggression
« on: July 23, 2015, 07:51:19 AM »
Been playing the Beta for Act of Aggression over the weekend. This is looking to be a good replacement for those who liked C&C generals.  Combat is extremely similar to Generals.  The game is more dependent on resources than was the case in Generals.  An element of COH2 exists where it is required to expand the base for getting resources.  This is also the first time the element of 'POW' has been in a RTS I have played.  POWs can be captured for oil resources or traded back for lump sum amounts of resources such as aluminum.  It seems the AI is more challenging than some other RTS for starting.  I have gotten better against the AI with grasping how to play the game but still challenging.  Last evening I played for 45 minutes thinking I had beaten back the AI advance to only see nuke missiles starting to head into my home base.

A lot going on in this game and I like it.  Just thought to provide 2 cents for the RTS crew within Fites.
My rig runs solitaire on ultra high resolution!

And here I thought we were getting ready to Fudge someone's day up. Guess I have to put away all this ammo now....
Eventually something cool will go in here. It's a matter of time.
