ok heres my problem...

Im lookin at gettin a velocaraptor drive but it wont be my windows drive mostly bc im lazy and i dont want to install windows again and transfer stuff. im also only gettin the 150gb one.  i was gonna keep my 7200 rpm one that i have in now and installing the raptor and having all the games on the raptor drive.  now for the problem, im seein a lot of talk that u want to have windows on the faster drive.  other than booting up does this really have a advantage bc im really not in need of faster boot up i just want my games to load faster AKA Crysis! Ill list my specs so i dont get asked well maybe its ur cpu thats not loading fast and crap like that.

Are you really going to see any difference in load times of games from switching from one SATA drive to another??  As long as the seek times are comparable it should load in close to the same amount of time, shouldn't it??

the 2nd drive in question is a 10,000 rpm velocaraptor drive one of the fastest desktop if not the fastest drive available for sata 2

But still, what kind of load time increases are you hoping for??  How long does it currently take to load?  Take a look at it from a Cost/Benefit ratio.

to be honest i got some cash to burn and i feel like the weekest point in my computer is the hd so i figured y not upgrade that.

Imho the best benefit you will see for a single upgrade would probably be the RAM.  Kick it up to 4 Gb (even though a 32 bit system will only see about 3.2 of it).   I think that would affect your game load times more than the hard drive.  If you are just looking to upgrade something on your system, then by all means go for the hard drive but don't expect it to make your system faster by any significant amount.

30sec to load crysis....that's pretty fast.  I think mine takes at least 45 seconds.

you think it will still make a difference because im not even using the 2 gigs i have in now.
