Title: 100 MAN/WOMAN LAN in Feb

I'm sorry if I'm a n00b with this post, but I didn't see any discussion about the upcomming event for a particualr subject.
Is there a tournament of sorts going to be played at the event for any games, particularly with CS:S?
Me and my fellow fraggers were just wondering because if there is going to be a tourney then we'd like to know ahead of time for our team choices..

There will be a CS:S 6v6 tourney

Schedule/Itinerary wont be posted till January though.

That's a great line up of titles!  I know me and my 'ol lady are down for some CS:S, BF2, and UT04 action! So many games so little time!  :bigsmile:  

Just an FYI, if there is talk about people wanting to play FarCry I'd be glad to bring a server for it!

Thanks!  We try to get everyone at least 2 tourney's that they would like to be in.  With such a diverse group... sometimes its difficult.

These are the tourney's we will be running.. in the mean time, there will be other game servers running...

I have no problem with people starting up their own "mini" servers.. .but we do ask that we keep them to a minimum... if we have 50 servers... with 2 players in each... its not much fun!  the point of a LAN is to get as many people into 1 game as possible :)

nothing official, but xankriz and I were talking about trying to get a game of ut instagib togeather (not sure if in tournaments or not)

I'm a huge RTS game and would love to get some Red Alert 2, WarCraft III, C&C Generals, and especially some Star Wars Galctic Battlegrounds going. Since those can't have dedicated servers, we`ll have to ask around for some folks who wanna join. Is that Kosher?

Yes... we have some people who love RTS's.... but like you said, there is no point in dedicating a server to it.

Those games often take hours to play and can't support more than a handful of people.

We have no problem if you want to start up a server... in fact, we will even announce it on the mic for you.  Just make sure you give us all of the info (who to see, which pc or IP, how many are needed, which game version... etc) and we will be happy to announce it.

Same goes for Quake 4

If your taking suggestions for tourney games, I got a couple. Battlefield 2 would be good with something like 5v5 on some of the smaller 16 player maps. Also, Quake 4 would be a good game too. Something like 4v4 ctf, tdm, or even 1v1 dm would be a lot of fun.
