After the initial E3 reveal of "Tom Clancy's The Division" people were instantly excited. The game looks to be an open world Third Person shooter that is team based and offers a wide variety of options from in game instances to PvP combat. In case you missed the initial trailer, allow me to whet your appetite.
And then all that joy was immediately turned to sorrow when players in the PC community found that Ubisoft only planned to have a console release.
All of that has changed. Ubisoft just announced there will be a PC version of The Division released as well. It would appear that online petitions and social media comments do have an impact on game publisher decisions.
There's not much more to report other than that. I hope the PC version is more than a console port. When giving PC support to a game it requires that control schemes and mechanics of player control are thought about with pc controls in mind, and not just remapping buttons and movement to a keyboard/mouse combo.
Now if only we could get a First Person Oculus Rift option.
